West Mercia Police have responded to reports that a body has been discovered in the River Wye between Hereford and Ross-on-Wye this morning.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police told Your Herefordshire:
“We were called to the River Wye in Neatherton at around 10.10am this morning (Thursday 10 March) following reports of a body being discovered by the river.
“Officers remain at the scene, and as this is an ongoing incident it would be inappropriate for us to comment further at this time.”
Members of the public are advised to avoid the area and West Mercia Police are expected to provide a further update this afternoon.
