Heading into Hereford city centre? Grabbing a quick bite to eat?
You are being warned to keep a close eye on your food, with Gulls currently swooping down at unsuspecting pedestrians and stealing food!
In a letter sent to Your Herefordshire, Georgia, who visited Hereford at the weekend, said:
“Warning to all shoppers and town goers, the sea gulls are actually out of control!
“Went to watch 28 years later with my partner yesterday (great film highly recommend), and took some leftover pizza for the film because of the cost of living crisis and spending over a tenner for popcorn and a drink is a no no.
“I still had a piece left by the end so I thought I’d treat myself to it on the walk home, why not I was hungry?
“I managed to cross from the Old Market into High Town, unaware of the potential dangers I’d encounter once I’d crossed the threshold of safety.
“Next thing I know, BANG, blunt force trauma to the back of the head, not a single second to recover from the disorientation before the pizza is ripped from my hand, and then he lands no more than 2 metres away from the scene of the crime and scoffs it in front of me.
“Suspect had a wingspan of approximately 39 inches, white and grey in colour, soulless eyes. There were witnesses.
“None that came to my aid I hasten to add.
“Luckily I’m 9 stone 3 of pure resilience so I’ve bounced back from the assault quite quickly, however others may not be so lucky.
“Just a warning to all to keep their carbohydrates close and eyes peeled.”
