Two women were left in shock on Monday, after a ‘liquid substance’ was thrown over them as they walked their newborn babies in Hereford.
One of the women, who we have decided not to name, contacted Your Herefordshire and said:
“Yesterday 16th September, two women were assaulted on Red Barn Drive/Faraday Road at approximately 12:15pm whilst walking to a local play group.
“The two women had their newborns with them whilst pushing their prams.
“The car drove slowly next to the victims throwing liquid into their faces, eyes & ears before speeding off onto Grandstand Road. They were recording the incident whilst laughing.
“The mothers were walking separately both attending the same class.
“The babies were fortunately unharmed.
“If anyone witnessed this or have information please can we request they report it to the police. Could local businesses check their CCTV for footage for the police. car reg etc. Appealing for help.
“An appalling thing to do in broad daylight!”
