Two women have been arrested after police carried out a raid at a property in Herefordshire.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police (Bromyard Cops) said:
“We thought we’d give you an update on what we’ve been up to recently.
“We attended two Parish council meetings, meeting the local community, providing some crime prevention advice followed by a Q&A session answering some local community concerns.
“Conducted speed enforcement in Bromyard, Steensbridge, Bredenbury and Stoke Lacey, several drivers were given verbal warnings and one driver was reported for excess speed after being recorded at 39mph in a 30mph zone in Bromyard. This carries a fine of £100 and 3 penalty points or if eligible the driver could pay to attend a speed awareness course.
“We also attended an address near Cradley in Malvern alongside Ledbury SNT, South Wye/Hereford SNT, PD Tess and handler from our Dog Section and colleagues from our Proactive CID after we were made aware of a possible illegal cannabis factory, two females were subsequently arrested for Cultivation of Cannabis, Abstracting Electricity and Possession of a Class A substance. The investigation is ongoing.
“Finally we assisted response officers from Leominster in apprehending a male that made off on foot after being suspected of an assault near Bringsty and ended Saturday evening with a short foot chase of our own involving 6 juveniles that were found trespassing at Burley Gate primary school, all ‘collared’, given strong words of advice and returned home.”
