Two women have been arrested following a serious assault in Worcester.

The incident happened at around 8.30pm on Saturday 13 August outside The Goodrest public house in Worcester.

Officers were called to the scene following reports of an altercation. On arrival a man was found with serious injuries and was later taken to hospital for further treatment.

Two women, aged 18 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remain in police custody as investigations continue.
