Two people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a serious collision in Malvern on Sunday evening.

West Mercia Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service all attended the incident.

West Mercia Police released the following statement this morning:

Around 7pm last night (Sunday 13 November) officers received a report of single vehicle collision on Barnards Green Road, Malvern.

The vehicle, a Vauxhall Corsa, came off the road between Poolbrook Road and Crown Lea Avenue, and collided with a tree.

The road was briefly closed while officers, Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue and West Midlands Ambulance services attended.

The driver and passenger were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, with serious injuries.
