Fatal RTC near Leominster – West Midlands Ambulance Service Statement
A man has died and two other people have been taken to hospital following a two-car collision this morning.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 9.31am to the A4110 in Aymestrey and sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer, a BASICS doctor and the Midlands Air Ambulances from Cosford and Strensham to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival we discovered three patients. One of them, a man, who was the driver of one of the cars, was in a critical condition.
“Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support but sadly, despite their best efforts, it became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
“Two women, one of whom was a driver and one who was a passenger, were treated for serious injuries and both taken to Hereford County Hospital by land ambulance.”

Officers are appealing for information after a collision in Aymestrey where a man sadly died.
Around 9.30am today (Wednesday 17 November) officers received a report of a collision between a blue Honda Civic and a yellow Audi on the A4110.
Officers, West Midlands Ambulance and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue services attended.
Sadly, one of the drivers, a 79-year-old man from Aymestrey died.
The other driver and a passenger were taken to Hereford County Hospital with serious injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
The road remains closed and enquiries are ongoing.
Officers would like anyone who saw the cars being driven or captured them on dash cam to please get in touch.

Driver dies following incident on the A49 between Hereford & Ross-on-Wye – West Mercia Police Statement
Officers from West Mercia Police were called to a single-vehicle collision on the A49 at Harewood End shortly after 7am this morning (Wednesday 17 November). The car has hit a wall. Ambulance crews also attended and treated the male driver of the vehicle but sadly he died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed. Road closures are in place for investigation work but are expected to be removed shortly.
