Two people have been taken to hospital following a collision in Herefordshire.

The collision occurred on the junction of the B4221 and the M50 near Gorsley on Thursday evening.

West Mercia Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service all attended the incident.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service told Your Herefordshire:

“We were called at 4.34pm on Thursday to a road traffic collision involving two cars at the junction of the B4221 and M50 in Linton.

“Two ambulances attended the scene. Upon arrival we found two patients who were the drivers of the cars.

“Firstly, a man who is believed to have suffered a medical incident at the wheel. He was assessed by ambulance staff at the scene.

“Secondly, a woman who was assessed and had sustained potentially serious injuries.

“They each received treatment at the scene before being conveyed to Hereford County Hospital for further assessment.”
