Two men have been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle following two quad bikes being stolen from Staunton-on-Wye in Herefordshire at the weekend.

The incident was reported to police at around 11.30pm on Saturday 30 June after tracking devices alerted the owner of the bikes they were on the move, believed stolen.

Officers from Hereford patrol’s A shift and our Operational Policing Unit were deployed to a farm address before quickly locating them in the nearby area.

One man in his 20s was found in the vicinity of where the bikes were found and arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle. A

second man, in his 30s, was stopped by police while driving a car leaving the farm and arrested on suspicion of a motor vehicle.

Both suspects remain in police custody.
