Seven men, aged 18 to 63, have been arrested following two incidents at a caravan site near Pershore.

Police were called at around 10pm yesterday (Saturday 28 May) to Castle View Eckington Travellers Site on Tewkesbury Road in Eckington following reports of a large disorder.

Officers then received a further report at around 7.40am this morning (Sunday 29 May) of another disorder at the same caravan site.

Two men, aged 21 and 30, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder relating to the incident last night.

A further four men, aged 18, 20, 22 and 46, were arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm, whilst a seventh man, aged 63, was arrested on suspicion of common assault.

All seven men remain in police custody as investigations continue.

Inspector Billy Keys said: “We would like to reassure the public that we believe these to have been isolated incidents. However, people may see an increased police presence near to the caravan site as we continue with our investigations.”
