Two fire crews from Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service were called to a grass fire yesterday in Hereford.

A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Your Herefordshire:

“Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – one from Hereford and one from Ewyas Harold – were called to a fire in the open in Hoarwithy Road, Hereford at 16:16 on 6 September.

“Crews discovered an area 40m by 90m of undergrowth, vegetation and grass on fire. The fire was extinguished using two hosereel jets and beaters. The police also attended but there were no casualties. The incident was marked as pending closure at 17:47.”
