A number of rail services heading to Wales have been delayed or cancelled this morning after a person was hit by a train between Shrewsbury and Crewe.
Rail passengers heading to the Wales vs. Italy game in Cardiff are advised that services have now resumed but that delays to journeys may still occur for some time.
A spokesperson for Transport for Wales said:
“Due to a person being hit by a train earlier today between Crewe-Shrewsbury all lines are blocked
“Train services running through these stations may be cancelled or delayed. Disruption is expected until 1100.”
