A ‘Tornado Watch’ has been issued for Herefordshire, with the risk of strong winds, lightning, hail and thunder from Storm Debi.
The ‘Tornado Watch’ comes into force from midnight tonight, until midday today (Monday).
The ‘Tornado Watch’ has been issued by The Tornado and Storm Research Association.
A spokesperson for TORRO said:
“This forecast is concerned with the risk of one or two tornadoes, associated with the passage of the cold front of the system (Storm Debi)”
A rare Red Warning is in force across parts of the Republic of Ireland, with an Amber Warning in place in Northern Ireland.
TORRO has issued the Tornado Watch for the Republic of Ireland, parts of Northern Ireland, much of Wales, the Midlands, Northern England, the Isle of Man and East Anglia.
