Three people have been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Ledbury in the early hours of today.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the incident involving one car on Hereford Road at 01.45am and sent two ambulances, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic, a BASICS emergency doctor and the Midland Air Ambulance Critical Care Car to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival crews discovered three patients.

“The first, the driver of the car who had sustained life-threatening injuries.  

“She received advanced trauma care from ambulance staff at the scene and treatment continued en route to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

“The second and third, who were passengers in the vehicle had sustained non-life threatening injuries. Both men received treatment from ambulance staff at the scene.

“They were conveyed to Hereford County Hospital for further treatment.”
