Heading into town for an essential trip or simply part of your daily exercise? You may spot a yellow ribbon on your route.

Why are they being placed around Hereford you may be asking?

Today is #NationalDayofReflection2021 which marks a year since the start of the first COVID-19 lockdown. With over 125,000 COVID-19 related deaths recorded across the UK, many people will be stopping at midday and at 8pm this evening to remember those lives lost.

NMITE’s chaplain, Andy Dodwell, has been leaving yellow ribbons around Hereford in recognition of this. If you spot one, take a moment to not only reflect, but to look forward.

Please feel free to share your photos of the yellow ribbons with us over on our Facebook page.
