Your Herefordshire has been made aware of a number of oil thefts over recent days and weeks in the Holme Lacy and Rotherwas areas of Hereford / Herefordshire.
One person told us that four properties in one lane had seen their oil stolen in just the past two weeks.
A number of incidents have been reported to West Mercia Police and local residents want to make people in surrounding areas aware that this type of crime appears to be on the rise in Herefordshire.
With rising oil prices, it may come as no surprise to some that this is happening so residents are urged to keep their property as secure as possible and to report any suspicious behaviour or incidents to West Mercia Police.
