The owners of a Herefordshire pub have taken to social media to respond to online speculation about its future.

The Royal Oak at Much Marcle, near Ledbury, shared the following message on social media:

“As many of you have seen in the local news this week, the pub is for sale, which has caused a fair amount of speculation and panic for those booked with us.

“This is not a decision that has been made lightly and there is no guarantee we will even be going at this time.

“I will speak to as many of you as possible over the coming weeks and please feel free to message, but for now….we are not going anywhere.”

The Royal Oak is located in the village of Much Marcle, on the A449 between Ledbury and Ross-on-Wye.

The perfect stop for a traditional pub lunch or to unwind with a pint of local ale or cider, whilst watching the sunset on the Herefordshire countryside.
