Later this afternoon the government will announcement a number of changes to the tier system in England, with a large number of areas expected to be placed under stricter restrictions to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

Yesterday, a record 53,000+ cases were recorded in the United Kingdom, with 84 recorded in Herefordshire.

Herefordshire’s COVID-19 infection rate rise has slowed over recent days with the overall infection rate in the county now at 195 cases per 100,000 population in data up until 26th December, this is DOWN on the 198.1 cases per 100,000 population recorded in data up until 23rd December.
