The body of a missing 36-year-old man has been found in a river by search and rescue teams.
A statement shared by West Mercia Police said:
“A body was recovered from the River Severn near Ombersley in Worcestershire on Sunday (February 4) in the search for missing Telford man Harry Hull-Merrick.
“The body was discovered at around 2.30pm near to Holt Fleet Bridge in Holt Heath.
“Formal identification is yet to take place but is believed to be that of 36-year-old missing man Harry Hull-Merrick, who was last seen on Friday 8 December in Ironbridge.
“Harry’s family have been informed and have asked that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious, and we would like to thank everyone who shared our appeals.”
