The A417 is closed in both directions at Birdlip this evening following a serious collision.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Constabulary said:
“We’ve closed the A417 following a serious collision in Birdlip this evening (Wednesday 10 May).
“Emergency services were called shortly after 9pm with a report of a two vehicle collision just before the junction for Birdlip.
“A closure has been put into place between the Air Balloon roundabout and Nettleton Bottom while emergency services remain at the scene.
“This is expected to remain in place for a number of hours with motorists asked to plan their route in advance and avoid the area.
