A teenager was airlifted to hospital following a medical emergency in Hereford yesterday evening.

West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that the air ambulance had landed at Aylestone Park to attend an incident in the nearby area.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service told Your Herefordshire:

“We were called at 5.58pm to a medical emergency in Hereford. We treated one female teenager before she was airlifted to Birmingham Children’s Hospital further treatment.”

Aylestone Park is one of a small number of places in Hereford that the air ambulance is able to land at night. This is thanks to support from volunteers at the park.
