Education Secretary Gavin Williamson has said that the government is going to work with universities to ensure students will be able to get home for Christmas.
However he did say that there “may be requirements for some students to self-isolate at the end of term”.
This could include ending face-to-face learning early if needed.
“I do not think we should look to inflict stricter measures on students, than we would on any other section of society,” he said.
