South and Mid Wales Cave Rescue were called early Sunday afternoon to an injured caver in the Agen Allwedd system who required stretcher evacuation.

The incident required the support of specialist rescue teams.

Once the caver was brought to the surface the team worked with colleagues at the Longtown Mountain Rescue Team to transport them to a Maritime and Coastguard Agency helicopter for a flight to hospital.
