Residents across the South Wye of Hereford have received letters in the post over the past couple of days urging them to help break the COVID-19 chain.
Over recent weeks there has been a significant rise in new cases of COVID-19 in the Hinton, Hunderton, Lower Bullingham, Redhill, Belmont, Newton Farm and Saxon Gate areas of the city. The infection rate in these areas is above 400 cases per 100,000 population in most parts, with some parts seeing infection rates above 500 cases per 100,000 population. A slight fall in the infection rate was recorded yesterday (Friday).
If you have ANY symptoms you MUST self-isolate immediately and get a test. Public Health Officials are urging residents to do this to stop the spread.
A temporary testing facility has been opened at Hereford Leisure Pool and you can book a test by visiting – https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test
