Shops in Hereford have been hit hard by youths who are following a trend seen on Tik Tok. On Saturday 9th April, one business had already deterred 15 shoplifters by midday.
The methods are being referred to as “borrowing” on the social media app and involve hiding items up sleeves and even in takeaway drinks cups. If you have the Tik Tok app, please search “borrowing” and look at the videos, which are openly providing tutorials on this method of shoplifting. Continue to report these incidents on DISC, Retail Radio and to the Police.
