A number of schools are allowing parents to pick their children up at 1pm this afternoon, rather than the usual time of around 3pm.
Clehonger Primary School has messaged parents saying they can pick their children up at 1pm this afternoon, after seeing how children struggled to cope with the heat yesterday afternoon.
Parents received the message yesterday evening, with the school advising a 1pm pick up from school this afternoon.
