The A438 has reopened in Ledbury this morning, after being closed for several hours on Monday evening.

The closure was in place from early evening, when a HGV got stuck at the junction with Knapp Lane.

The lorry appeared to get wedged against a building at the end of the lane and it took several hours before the HGV could be removed.

West Mercia Police attended the incident and confirmed in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday) that the road has reopened.

Knapp Lane is a notorious lane in Ledbury, with large vehicles restricted from accessing the lane. It is unclear how the HGV ended up using the route.
