The Flood Information Service is warning of further flooding in Herefordshire with heavy rain set to affect the county later this week.

Torrential rain is likely at times over the hills of South and Mid Wales, which could lead to levels on the River Wye in Herefordshire to respond quickly.

The main area of risk appears to be Thursday to Saturday with the Flood Information Service saying:

Forecast for Tuesday 15 December 2020 to Saturday 19 December 2020:

Local flooding from surface water and rivers is probable tomorrow in the south of Wales, and from surface water only in the south-west of England. Further flooding from surface water and rivers is probable on Friday in the south of Wales and the south-west of England, with river response continuing into Saturday. Ongoing river flooding is probable in Herefordshire and other parts of the south of Wales from Thursday to Saturday. Localised minor impacts are possible more widely on Wednesday and Friday. Land, roads and some properties could flood and there could be travel disruption.
