Residents in one area of Hereford have reported a large police presence last night following what appears to have been a serious violent incident.
Members of the public in the Holme Lacy Road area of Hereford reported seeing a large number of police officers close to the Co-op store yesterday evening.
One person posted on a local message board saying that ‘at least one person was arrested’ and another person contacted Your Herefordshire to say that there were ‘a number of men involved and at least one had a baseball bat and was smashing a car up’.
A section of the road remained cordoned off for several hours while police forensic officers conducted investigations.
There were also reports of several police officers in High Town at a similar time but it’s unknown if these incidents are connected.
We have approached West Mercia Police for further details.
