The number of Coronavirus cases in Herefordshire is still rising, but at a much slower rate than many areas across the United Kingdom.

One new case of the virus has been recorded in the county, taking the total number of positive cases of the virus to 917 since the start of the outbreak. That’s 477.3 cases per 100,000 population, much lower than the rate in the worst affected areas of the country. For example, the rate of infection per 100,000 population in Leicester is 1614.2 and in Oldham it is 1249.9 with this down to large community outbreaks.

No further COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded at hospitals in Herefordshire, meaning that the total number of COVID-19 related deaths at hospitals in the county remains at 57 since the start of the outbreak.
