The quick actions of the emergency services have been praised after a fire in Hereford overnight.
The fire started at the back of a property on Edgar Street in Hereford in the early hours of Sunday morning. People in surrounding houses were asleep, but after receiving a call, West Mercia Police officers quickly arrived at the scene, alongside colleagues from Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.
Police quickly moved people out of their homes due to concerns the fire could spread, but fortunately fire crews managed to put the blaze out.
The cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed but Edgar Street reopened early this morning after a temporary closure due to the fire.
