A local mum has taken to social media to share her frustration after a friend of hers was issued with a parking fine after going just a couple of minutes over her parking time at Queenswood Country Park.
Bethan posted on the local Mums Group saying the following:
“I met a friend a week ago at Queenswood for our children’s first meet up in over a year. My friend has since received a parking ticket when under no circumstances were their facilities taken advantage of.
“Camera shows car entering the car park at 9.49am, before sorting children out with wellies, putting their coats on and snacks in bag etc.
“A ticket was then purchased after waiting in a queue behind two people. We paid for two hours which gave us until 12.15pm.
“We were back at the car in time but my friend got a ticket for going just minutes over when leaving the car park. This isn’t right, they’re not allowing time for just standing in the car park to get ready.
”It is not acceptable to feel forced to pay for over two hours. The one hour charge is an absolute joke when you’ve got little ones. I along with many others, choose not to go to Queenswood again which is such a shame as it’s an amazing place for children to enjoy.”
