Two Herefordshire schools have reported a single positive case of COVID-19, with parents receiving an email over the weekend.
A single case has been recorded involving a pupil at St Mary’s C of E Primary School in Fownhope. Parents were made aware that a Year 6 pupil had tested positive for the virus in an email and all pupils in Year 6 have been told to self-isolate for 14 days at home. Three members of staff have also been told to self-isolate.
A single case of COVID-19 has also been recorded at St Francis Xavier Primary School in Hereford. Parents have been advised by email that a pupil in Year 4 has tested positive for COVID-19. A small number of children that have been in close contact with the individual have been told to self-isolate for 14 days.
Both schools remain open and parents will be kept up to date with any updates. Public Health England have been informed of the cases.
