King Charles III and the Queen Consort will fly to Wales this morning, for a series of visits in Cardiff, before flying back to London this evening to prepare for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral on Monday.

Both King Charles III and the Queen Consort will attend a service of prayer and reflection at Llandaff Church before they head to the Senedd. They will then attend a private audience with Welsh First Minister Mark Drakeford at Cardiff Castle early this afternoon.

Anti-monarchy protesters are expected to hold a protest at Cardiff Castle during King Charles III’s visit. There will be a heavy police presence in the city to ensure that the visit goes ahead without any issues.

The King will then return to Buckingham Palace before heading back to Westminster Hall for the Vigil of Princes this evening.

His Majesty The King will travel to Cardiff where he and The Queen Consort will attend a Service of Prayer and Reflection for the Life of The Queen at Llandaff Cathedral. Their Majesties will be greeted at the Cathedral by the Lord Lieutenant of South Glamorgan.

The King and Queen Consort will then travel to the Senedd and be greeted by The Llywydd and First Minister, Mark Drakeford. Their Majesties will receive a Motion of Condolence.

Later in the afternoon, The King will conduct audiences and attend a reception for local charities at Cardiff Castle.

London

In the afternoon, His Majesty The King will meet Faith Leaders at Buckingham Palace.

His Majesty The King will be joined by The Duke of York, the Earl of Wessex and Princess Royal to conduct a vigil beside Her Majesty The Queen’s Coffin.

A requiem mass giving thanks for the life of the Queen will take place at 10:30am Sunday 18 September at Manchester Cathedral. A civic service will follow at 14:30pm. Lisburn

A service of prayer and reflection remembering Queen Elizabeth II will take place in Lisburn Cathedral on Friday 16 September at 6pm. The service will also be live streamed in Lisburn City Centre and on the council’s Facebook page. The State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II streamed from Westminster Abbey will be shown on the screen in Lisburn City Centre on Monday 19th September from 10.00am. A one Minute’s Silence in Market Square, Lisburn at 11.00am on Thursday 15th September.

Drumbeg

Drumbeg Community Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Her Majesty the Queen on Thursday 15th September at 6pm at St Patrick’s Church of Ireland. The Rev’d Willie Nixon, Rector of St Patrick’s Drumbeg, will share the Service of Thanksgiving with Father Brian McCann. Father Brian is the Parish Priest at the Roman Catholic Parish of Derriaghy.

There will be a Requiem Eucharist at Rochester Cathedral at 3.15pm on Saturday 17th September, attended by representatives from across the Diocese and the civic life of Kent, Medway, Bromley and Bexley. Bedford
