Popular teacher Mike Stubbs will be retiring soon from the Bishop of Hereford’s Bluecoat School.
His colleague Richard Burgess has set up a GoFundMe page so Mike can enjoy his retirement. Richard stated “I have witnessed at first hand his unrivalled commitment to providing sporting opportunities to young people. If there is another teacher who makes a 2 hour round trip on a Saturday to provide extracurricular activity, I have yet to meet them.
When news of his retirement became public I was asked by many people about how they could show their appreciation and mark the occasion. Sadly we are not in a position to gather and celebrate, but there is something that together, we can do.
I know that Mike intends to use his retirement to spend more time with his girls and in particular to travel with them. With this in mind I have put this page together to enable anyone to contribute towards this opportunity for Mike”
