West Mercia Police have confirmed that a major route in Herefordshire is closed due to rising flood water.
The A438 is closed between Hereford and Ledbury, near the village of Tarrington due to flooding.
West Mercia Police shared the following update on social media:
“A438 from School Road to C1151 via Tarrington closed due to flooding. Please use alternative routes thanks.”
The A40 is closed eastbound between Symonds Yat and Monmouth due to a landslide.
The A4103 (Hereford to Worcester Road) is expected to soon be closed at Fromes Hill due to flooding.
A number of routes in the county are affected by flooding this morning.
The A44 has areas of flood water between Bromyard and Worcester.
Watery Lane and Lower Bullingham Lane in Hereford are both closed due to flooding and are likely to remain closed throughout Friday.
River levels are rising in the county, with alerts in force on the River Wye, River Lugg, River Arrow, River Leadon Catchment and River Frome.
