A protest in Bristol has turned violent this evening with several police vans and cars being set on fire by protesters in one part of the city.

Graffiti has been sprayed on Bridewell Police Station and several police vans have been set on fire. Police have had missiles, including fireworks thrown at them.

The violence has followed a ‘Kill the Bill’ protest in Bristol earlier today, demonstrating against the Government’s Police & Crime Bill.
