West Mercia Police officers in Herefordshire are urging witnesses to come forward following reports of a number of incidents in a Herefordshire village.
Police have reported a number of thefts in the Weobley area and are in the process of contacting and speaking to all those that have been affected.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
“Kington & Weobley Safer Neighbourhood Team are aware of reports of numerous thefts in in the area of Weobley over the previous weekend.
“We are in the process of contacting the victims, many of which we have already spoken with.
“We will be visiting all of those affected to gather as much information as possible, whilst also providing security advice and reassurance.
“Furthermore, we will be patrolling the village as often as possible, mainly in the hours of darkness.
“Lastly, although we have been made aware of several of these incidents, it has come to our knowledge that there may be more victims in the village who have not made reports to the police.
“If you or someone you know has recently been a victim of a crime, please can they contact West Mercia Police and report the incident by dialling 101 and speaking with our call handlers.
“By reporting the incident to us, it gives us more information and helps us build an accurate picture of what is occurring.”
