Police have been made aware of markings found by residents on their walls and driveways in Tarirngton.
At present police do not know what these markings are but they could possibly be linked to thefts of dogs which has been happening in surrounding counties.
Please stay vigilant and report any markings or suspicious activity to 101.
If you see any of these markings police suggest you clean it off and check your security at your properties.
