West Mercia Police have provided an update on the incident that occurred on the Old Bridge in Hereford on Tuesday evening.

Members of the public reported seeing a police presence, alongside paramedics, on the Old Bridge in Hereford at around 6.30pm on Tuesday evening.

The road was temporarily blocked.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:

“At around 5.55pm yesterday evening (Tuesday 4 July) police and ambulance responded to a report of a man having fallen from a pedal cycle. 

“The man was treated by ambulance for suspected broken bones and cuts to his head.”

Both West Mercia Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service attended the incident.
