Police have provided an update on ‘boy racers’ that have been causing a nuisance in parts of Hereford.
In a post on social media, West Mercia Police said:
“We wanted to provide you with an update regarding Road Safety Issues which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.
“Following concerns from local residents and recent new post on social media please see below the results from the Minor Operation conducted by police on Greyfriars Bridge evening of 31/08/2025.”
Total results:
2x Tyres below legal limit
12x Speeding (All engaged with)
1x Tint offence
3x WOA plate, lighting, undertake

“Positive engagement to end the operation in the ASDA carpark speaking to a large group of “boy racers” seemed successful.
“They are now aware that we will be continuing to target speeding and driving offences on Greyfriars Bridge and the surrounding areas at all hours of the day and night.”
