‘On Thursday 11th April 2024 at 17:00hrs a multi-agency tasking and enforcement (MATES) operation was carried out at the Ruby Chinese Takeaway, 23 Union Street, Hereford.
‘During the operation police arrested five individuals for immigration offences and money laundering. A large sum of money was seized, as well as electronic devices and paperwork.
‘The employment of illegal immigrants and suspected money laundering offences are very serious, as a result the licensing objectives of the prevention of crime and disorder has been undermined.’
The review of the licence is currently taking place, with a consultation period set to end today (15th May).
