West Mercia Police officers were left shocked after a routine traffic stop turned out to be far from ordinary.

Over the past week officers have detected a number of offences including the following.
- Drink driving
- Drug driving
- Mobile phone use
- Child seat and seatbelt offences
- No MOT
- Speeding
- No insurance
- Illegal number plates
- Stolen fuel
One particular car caught the attention of one of our officers with concern about the standard of their driving. No wonder….the driver turned out to be 15!
The Dad thought it was a good idea to take his son out for a practice. Both individuals were dealt with and the vehicle seized.
Last year 57 people lost their lives across our three counties.That’s real lives we are talking about, families that are left absolutely devastated. Our officers work tirelessly 24/7 to ensure our roads are safe for all that use them and to deal with those road users that refuse to follow the law.
