Gloucestershire Constabulary have issued an update following a firearms incident that occurred near Gloucester earlier this week.

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Constabulary said:

“We’re renewing our appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage following reports that a firearm was discharged in the Highnam area of Gloucester earlier this week.

“Six people arrested in connection with the incident on Tuesday morning (22 November) have been released on bail

“Investigating officers would like to speak to anybody who was driving between the A40 Highnam roundabout and Longford roundabout via Over between 9:45am and 10:15am. We’re particularly keen to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage from that time.

“Officers responded to reports at around 10am on Tuesday that the occupants of two cars had made threats towards each other and a firearm had been discharged from inside one of the vehicles.

“It was also reported that the cars were being driven in an erratic manner and had collided with two vehicles which were travelling in the area.
