Police have issued an appeal following reports of racist graffiti being sprayed.
From Forest of Dean Police:
“We’re appealing for information following reports of racist graffiti being sprayed across various parts of the Forest of Dean in the past few days.
“Racial slurs have been daubed on road signs around Cinderford, Drybrook and Mitcheldean areas.”
There is graffiti on:
🔹 Valley Road, Cinderford
🔹 Nailbridge Traffic Lights
🔹 Morse Road, Drybrook
🔹 Drybrook Road, Drybrook
🔹 The Stenders, Mitcheldean
“We’re now asking anyone with information to come forward so that we can hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
“Enquiries are ongoing and officers would like to hear from anyone who may have seen what happened or saw anybody acting suspiciously in any of the locations where the graffiti has been sprayed all of which was in red paint. We received our first report of this at 1037hrs this morning and would be keen to narrow down when this occurred.
“Anyone who has not yet spoken to police and who may have CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage which they feel is relevant is also asked to get in touch and in this case dashcam evidence may be of particular interest as some of this has occurred in less populated areas.
“Information can be submitted online by completing the following form and quoting incident number 159 of 30th August 2025 : https://orlo.uk/s3xbk”
