West Mercia Police have issued an appeal after concerns were raised about anti social behaviour within a school grounds in Herefordshire.
From West Mercia Police:
St Mary’s School in Credenhill have been in touch with us to report that people have been getting on to their grounds in the evening and drinking alcohol and leaving rubbish behind. The last incident was on either Sunday or Monday evening.
Potentially youths are involved (possibly ex pupils who know the area) and they have gone there in order to shelter from the rain/cold etc. Fortunately no damage has been done however with alcohol involved there is a chance that this could escalate further in the future.
As you can appreciate, the school are worried about this incident as they do not want the children to hurt themselves on any of the items left behind.
If you have any teenagers/young adults living with you, could you please speak to them and make sure that they are not involved.
The school are getting cameras installed (at an expense that they do not need) so any future incidents will be captured on CCTV and reported to the Police for us to act on.
Please get in touch with me if you have any information in relation to this incident and quote reference number 01011-C-02112021.
Kind regards
PCSO Christina Howard
