Police have confirmed that they will be increasing patrols in one area of Hereford, after rocks were used to smash windows.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
“We are looking for information regarding a Criminal Damage/Burglary, at Hinton Football Club in Hereford.
“Below is a photo showing the rocks left behind at the premises. These were used to smash the windows.
“There will be an increased police presence in the area.
“If you have information at all regarding the incident or if you have seen it happen, please let us know.”
It comes in response to a message that was shared on social media earlier this week.
Peter Clarke said:
“WHY?? I WAS CALLED THIS MORNING TO BE INFORMED THAT SOMEONE HAS VANDALISED OUR FACILITY AT BROOMY HILL.
“On arrival I found that 4 windows had been smashed, floodlights badly damaged, and the whole Hinton FC Car Park area was covered with large stones which had been deliberately dug out of the earth bank and used as missiles to inflict the damage.
“To add to the Community Sports offering to Hereford residents in co-operation with Hinton FC WHPC’s 40+ members have been working very hard to build the Club from scratch for 2 years.
“These mindless and selfish individuals and their totally disgraceful actions will not deter us.
“We will continue to improve the venue and enjoy our Sport.
“We have informed the Police of these events and ask that if you have any information that could help us please get in touch.
“WHY? WHAT SATISFACTION DID YOU GET OUT OF IT?”
