From Gloucestershire Police:
We’re appealing for witnesses and CCTV footage in relation to a serious incident in Gloucester in the early hours of Sunday morning (15 August).
Police received a report at around 2.20am that a woman had been sexually assaulted by a man in Wellington Street.
The incident is believed to have happened at around 2am and is being investigated by officers from our Rape and Serious Sexual Offences team.
The man involved was described as being white and had a tanned complexion, aged in his late teens or 20s and of a slim build with short dark hair. He was wearing a grey tracksuit and a black bodywarmer over the top.
He fled the scene in the direction of Gloucester Park. The woman was not injured in the incident but is shaken by the ordeal.
Investigating officers have been reviewing CCTV and taking part in house to house enquiries. They are now keen to hear from anyone who was in the area of Wellington Street or Park Road between 1.30am and 2.30am.
Police are also keen to hear from anyone who may have relevant CCTV, doorbell camera footage or dashcam footage which could assist the investigation.
