West Mercia Police were called to reports of four men acting suspiciously in a field in Herefordshire.

The incident occurred in the village of Bridstow near Ross-on-Wye.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:

“Officers from Ross-on-wye Safer Neighbourhood Team accompanied by an Officer from A shift Response, attended reports of suspicious persons entering a field near properties.

“On attendance a coordinated search was conducted where 4 males, with 3 dogs and lamping equipment were apprehended.

“Officers took swift action seizing the vehicle and lamping equipment.

“All 4 males have been reported for Poaching Offences.”
