From West Mercia Police:

We have arrested a man and a woman following the tragic incident that took place on Redditch Road, Alvechurch yesterday.

At 17:50pm on Sunday 15 August we were called to reports that a vehicle had failed to stop at the scene of a collision. Sadly a 63-year-old man and his dog died at the scene.

A 27-year-old man from Hollywood, Worcestershire has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of a collision and perverting the course of justice.

A 27-year-old woman, also from Hollywood, Worcestershire has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Both suspects remain in police custody.
